History
Prasser-Kleczka has been a family owned and operated business since 1868.
What G.I. Prasser started as a furniture and undertaking company near South 9th Street and West National Avenue, has evolved into two funeral home locations in Milwaukee. The South Howell Avenue Funeral Home was opened in 1954, while the South 27th Street Funeral Home opened in 1988 and the cremation center adjacent to the Bay View Chapel was constructed in 2014. Jerry was the first Kleczka to join the Prasser business in 1965, and his family name was added in 1970. Today Jay and Jeff Kleczka own and operate the funeral homes with the same dedication to quality services with affordable prices as their father and the Prasser family before them.
Prasser-Kleczka is a good friend and neighbor committed to community service. You can count on our experienced professional staff to serve you as you wish to be served in your hour of need. We invite you to visit our Funeral Homes or Cremation Center at any time.
