Purdy, William A. Tuesday, January 7, 2014. Age 90 years. Beloved husband of the late Betty Purdy. Loving father of Linda (Raymond) Cruft and Janet (Eric) Orchalski. Cherished grandfather of Paul (Julia) Cruft, Steven (Melissa) Cruft, Derrik Orcholski, Danielle (Tom) Brien and Dean (Angela) Orchalski. Dear great-grandfather of Taylor, Clare, Katelyn, Dylan, Hunter, Trevor, Brandon, Alyssa, Jamie, Madison and Grace. Further survived by other family members and friends. Visitation at the Funeral Home SUNDAY, January 12, 2014 from 12 Noon 1 PM. Funeral Services at 1 PM. William was born on November 12, 1923 in Fullham, England. He proudly served in the British Navy during World War II and participated in the Battle of Normandy. In 1972 he immigrated to the United States to be with his family. He had a tremendous work ethic and was grateful for all the opportunities this great country offered him. Through out his life, William enjoyed fishing and woodworking.
