William Raymond "Bill" Marx Jr. died in Milwaukee on November 14, 2024 while in hospice care for cancer. He was 73.

Bill was smart, talented, generous, kind, and had a great sense of humor. He had a lot of interests but especially loved music, movies, history and spending time with friends at Okauchee and Crooked Lakes. On New Year's Day 1995 Bill had a heart transplant that added nearly 30 more years to his life. Even though he had various health challenges over those years he never complained and always stayed upbeat.

Predeceased by his parents (William "Ray" Sr. and Helen), Bill is survived by his sister Marilyn Marx and her husband, Jon Alberts, beloved cousins S. Joan Penzenstadler and John (Renee) Penzenstadler, as well as many other cousins and close, life-long friends. Special thanks go to Mary Robertson and Blake Faust for all their help and friendship to Bill. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Per his wishes no funeral service was held. Those wishing to honor Bill's life can make a donation in his name to The Wisconsin Humane Society, Milwaukee PBS or Donate Life America.
