Born to Eternal Life on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at the age of 95 years. Beloved husband for 67 years, a never ending love story with Helen (nee Frankovic). Treasured dad of and very much loved by Bill (Marianne), Susan (Lawrence) McClellan, Nancy (Thomas) Olson and Brian (Dawn). Cherished grandfather of Betsy (Scott) Kolesar, Christie (David) Ryan, Billy (Kaitlyn) Gustafson, Stacey (Jake) Deutsch and Nick (Alli) Gustafson. Loving great-grandfather of Ellie, Jack Anthony, Nolan, Owen and Jack Thomas. Further survived by sister-in-law Ashley Gustafson, other family members and friends. Visitation at the Funeral Home Monday, August 22, 2016 from 10 AM 12 Noon. Funeral Services at 12 Noon followed by military honors. Private interment Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Army / Air Corps during World War II. He was a retiree of the Milwaukee Public Schools working as a carpenter for many years and was a longtime member of St. Matthias Parish. Bill will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. A protector, a fighter, a friend and comedian he will be greatly missed.
