Wayne F. Immel passed away peacefully on March 20th, 2024. He was 88 years old born on August 20th, 1935 in West Bend, WI. He enlisted into the Marine Corps at the age of 17 and served in the Korean war. He married his childhood sweetheart Janice (DuFrame) Immel in 1957. He was an over the road truck driver for many years and retired in 1999. He moved up north to Shawano WI, where he and Janice enjoyed the outdoors together and also went to many country music festivals. Wayne's other hobbies included working on puzzles, playing cards, gardening and playing cribbage. He often could be found laying out in sun, it was one of his favorite pastimes. Wayne was a very dedicated Green Bay Packers fan. He loved his family and especially enjoyed attending all family outings and gatherings.
He is survived by his daughter Pamela (Michael) Lanza. Grandchilden Paul (Summer) Immel, Joseph (Jerrica) Lanza, Jason (Chrissy) Immel, Franklin (Bailey) Immel, Wade (Jayna) Wilcher, Raquel (Paul) Wisniewski, Tyler (Lah Lah) Goodrich, and Ellise (Jared) Braveheart. Further survived by 18 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchilden many nieces and nephews, other family and friends.
Preceded in death by his wife Janice Immel, his daughter Lavell Wilcher and son Rex Immel, grandson Keith Lanza and great-grandson Adrian Wisnieski.
Memorial Visitation at the FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 10:30AM-12:00PM. Memorial Service at 12:00PM. Interment at Forest Hill Memorial Park to follow.
