Loving Father of William (Pamela) Leichtnam, Linda Rae Burgelis (Gregory Galinsky), and Sandra Rubottom (Matt) DeLapp. Cherished Grandfather of Karl (Desiree) Rubottom and Kevin (Christabel) Jung. During the 60's & 70's, Walter and Josephine were very active in the Humboldt Park Fourth of July Association, Bay View Business Association, South Shore Water Frolics, George Washington- Bay View Post 180 American Legion and the Miss Milwaukee and Miss Wisconsin pageants. Walter worked for Interstate Motor Freight Systems for many years and then worked part-time for Alfa Flower Shop until retirement. Walter lived the last 2.5 years at The Lutheran Home in Wauwatosa where he was lovingly cared for. Visitation at the Funeral Home, Wednesday, January 24, 2018, 5-6:00pm. Remembrance Ceremony by George Washington-Bay View Post 180 at 6:00 PM. followed by a Prayer Service by Pastor Derek Wolter of the Lutheran Home. Private interment at Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery.
