Cherished dad of Mary Ellen (the late Kenneth) Haug, Richard, Stephen Johnson and the late Martha (Chuck) DeGraw. Dear grandpa of Mark, Martin, David, the late Daniel and Charles. Great-grandpa of Alicia, Anna, Jaime, Alex, Christian, Jonathon and Grace. Brother of Elsie (George) Smith and Dorothy Traycik. Further survived by other family and friends. Walter was the former owner of Johnson Sporting Good Store in Marquette, MI and a former member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Greendale.
