Danecki, Walter E. Entered eternal life on Sunday, Sept.25, 2005 age 83 years. Survived by his beloved wife Olive (nee Wegner). Dear brother of Jeanette (The late Donald) Smith and Ervin Danecki. Brother-in-law of Virginia and Alwin Schowalter. Preceded in death by his parents Walter and Sophie and his brothers Leonard (the late Hazel), Edward (Greta), C. Dan (Margaret) and Raymond. Walter took great pride in his nieces, nephews, and their children and they returned his affection. He felt very blessed to have many loyal friends and a loving group of wonderful neighbors who will miss him deeply. Walter was devoted to the Masonic Bodies in Illinois. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, Scottish and York Rite, earning outstanding leadership awards and a 50 year certificate. Walter was also a member of Medinah Shrine Temple. Life member of the Provincial Grand Lodge of the Royal Order of Scotland. Walter proudly served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and was a life member of American Legion Post No.2930, Portage,WI. He loved sports, especially baseball, basketball and golf. Walter and Olive loved travel and took trips to Europe and wintered in Arizonia. Visitation at the Funeral Home THUR 4-7 PM. MASONIC SERVICES under the auspices of Lake Lodge No. 189 for Wayfarers Lodge #1001 F&AM followed by Rev. Dale Stohre. Inurnment and Military Honors TUE 11:30 AM at Valhalla Cemetery.
