Wally was a graduate of West Milwaukee High School, Marquette University and Marquette University Law School, practiced law in the Bay View area in the windmill building, a U.S. Navy veteran serving during WW II in the Aleutian Islands, was a widely recognized trumpet player in the Milwaukee area and a member and officer of Musicians Union Local No. 8 for 69 years.
