Obituary

Found peace on Tues., March 12, 2002. Beloved husband of the late Keo (nee Holmes). Dear father of Terrence, Thomas (Linda Taylor) and Linda (Michael) Grossmeyer. Loving grandfather of Jeffrey (Shelia), Angela, Johanna Schaetzke and Lisa Taylor. Adoring great-grandfather of Amelia and Jeremy. Uncle of Sandra (Vern) Jommen. Further survived by fellow musicians and cribbage players. Visitation at the Funeral Home FRI 4-7 PM. Funeral Service at 7 PM. Private entombment Forest Home Cemetery. Wally was a graduate of West Milwaukee High School, Marquette University and Marquette University Law School, practiced law in the Bay View area in the windmill building, a U.S. Navy veteran serving during WW II in the Aleutian Islands, was a widely recognized trumpet player in the Milwaukee area and a member and officer of Musicians Union Local No. 8 for 69 years. If desired, memorials appreciated to the Marquette University Football Club.
