Obituary

Guillermo, Voltaire Evasco "Chico" carried into the arms of Jesus on May 9, 2023, at the age of 73.

Beloved brother of the late Teresita "Baby" (Charito) Bello, Rumwaldo "Boy"(Tess), Enrico (Aura), Mindaluz (Florian) Toledo, Ophelia Deanes, Hector (Debbie), Luis (Diane), Remus (Dustine), Sonya, Ela, Ruby, and Angelo (Deb) Guillermo.

Uncle of Chi Chi, Alison, Lindsey, Lilana, Concetta, Taylor, Nina, Madeline, JB, Matthew, Luis Jr, Leonard, Briccio, Vincent, Jo Jo, Red, Michael, Ian, Reece, Noah, and Joshua. Chico was a wonderfully engaging Uncle to all nieces and nephews. He was particularly fond and close to Vincent.

Great uncle of Dominic, Eliott, Jesse, Gabriel, Asher, Jonah, River, Esme, and Rhiza.

He was preceded to eternal life by mother, Conchita Evasco Guillermo, father Briccio A. Guillermo , sister Teresita and a very special Auntie Carling he was especially close to who spent her life helping to raise Guillermo children .

Voltaire was multitalented and always fun to be around. He loved Bradford beach and volleyball. Engaging in stimulating conversation with whoever he talked to both at the beach and the Marquette hangouts over the last 40 years. His favorite conversations were guiding the young college students to keep going with school and striving to get ahead. In Milwaukee, wherever you went, someone knew of "Chico" and always in a good light.

His nephews and nieces were proud to call him Uncle.

When first coming to the country from the Philippines, arriving with his father and sister Pia, in the late 60s, he helped his family to get ahead by working whatever jobs he could. He actually developed frostbite early on delivering newspapers. He eventually moved to LA where he went to UCLA and worked at Capitol Records. His mother was very proud of him.

In the late 70s he moved back to Milwaukee to be with the rest of his family that had arrived in Dec 1971, including his mother and 6 siblings. He continued his studies in Milwaukee including graphic arts, which he loved, carpentry and auto mechanics. Voltaire was a dedicated worker at the Milwaukee Journal, Quadgraphics and Menards .

He was there for family members over the years when in need, as he really had a good heart.

Voltaire will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

May he forever rest in peace and continue to watch over us.
