(nee Szychulski) Died peacefully and went to her heavenly home Saturday, September 19, 2009 age 85 years. Loving mother and best friend of Pamela Brandon, Monica Thomas and Chris (Catherine) Darrow. Proud grandmother of Timothy Brandon, Ashley (Grant) Goldman, Brian and Lisa Thomas; Joseph, John, Daniel and Thomas Darrow. Preceded in death by her parents Anton and Hattie Szychulski; siblings Sylvester, Alyce and Wanda. Also survived by other relatives, her special St. Veronica Church family and many friends. Memorial visitation on Tuesday, September 22, after the 6:30 PM mass which Virginia regularly attended, 7:30-8:30 PM at ST. VERONICA CHURCH, 4001 So. Whitnall Ave. and also Wednesday at church 10-11:45 AM. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon. Private inurnment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Virginia was a retiree of the St. Francis School district after 34 years, a member of the St. Francis Association of Commerce and was awarded Citizen of the Year honors and was a member of the Sinsinawa Dominican Federation. She was a life-long and active member of St. Veronica Church, serving most recently on the finance and festival committees and was a volunteer with the St. Thomas Aquinas Academy School Library.
