What started as a pen pal relationship during World War II grew into an inspiring love affair for Tony and Viola that spanned over 60 years. Viola had a passion for music, and was an extraordinary piano player. She was a long time member of the Maria SS Addolorata Society. She also loved to garden, sew, and cook traditional Italian dishes. She was most proud of being a loving wife and mother. Her home was always filled with the sounds of children. Many children called her mom throughout the years. She loved sharing her home with others and made everyone feel welcome. If desired, memorials to the church are appreciated.
