Obituary

Vince was born on March 15, 1955 and died on March 6, 2016 at the age of 60 after complications from liver failure. Vince was born in Compton, CA. He then moved to Australia and lived there until he was 8 when he moved back to Bay View, Wisconsin where he spent the rest of his life. Affectionately known as "Vinnie", by his many friends, Vince worked for 26 years for SEKO Logistics as an outbound freight manager. Vince prided himself on always going the extra mile in customer service and meeting his company's goals. He was a team player with no regrets. Vince was a veteran of the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division and served as a medic. He counted several parachute jumps among his accomplishments. He was an avid Packer, Badger and Brewer fan. He scheduled his vacation days around the Packer's schedule. He treasured his relationships with his SEKO family, special friend, Lauren and many others from the White House Tavern and the Newport Bar. He will be missed by his family, coworkers and friends. Vince is preceded in death by his father Gus Mercurio, his mother Shirley Laube and stepfather Alfred Laube. He is survived by his sister Jo (Terry Donovan) Mercurio, brother Tony Mercurio, stepbrother Alfred (Ruth) Laube, niece Shanna (Steve) Laube-Anderson, grandnephew Alex Pollex and grandniece Majorie Laube-Anderson, half siblings Connie Mercurio, Joseph (Samantha) Mercurio, and Paul (Andrea) Mercurio and many cousins in Wisconsin, Arizona and Texas. The family would like to thank Charlie Zidek and Rachel Christiansen from SEKO Logistics for supporting Vince through his short illness with the utmost care and consideration. Vince was the life of the party, always optimistic and lived his life the way he wanted. We will miss him dearly. Vince requested that there be no formal services for him. A celebration of his life will be taking place at a later date with family and friends. Folks are invited to share stories of Vince on the Caring Bridge website.
