It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Victor Rutherford, aged 71, who left us on July 12, 2026. Victor was born on February 24, 1955, in Peoria, Illinois, and spent his life surrounded by the rhythms of music and the joy of family.

A dedicated newspaper distributor, Victor was well-known in his community for his friendly demeanor and his unwavering commitment to his work. His passion for music enriched his life immeasurably. A true aficionado of vinyl, he passionately collected over 1,000 records, each a testament to his love for the art of sound and culture.

Victor is survived by his loving children, Victor and Jafari, and his cherished siblings Marion Rutherford, Kieth Rutherford, and Kasmier Rutherford. Victor is also survived by many nieces and nephews and other extended family. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and an infectious love for life that will be remembered by friends and family alike. He is preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Mildred (née Walker) Rutherford, and his siblings, Theresa Toms, Comille Kelly, Victoria Richards, and Leonard Rutherford.

A memorial visitation will take place at the Prasser-Kleczka Funeral Homes Bay View Chapel, at 3275 S. Howell Avenue, in Milwaukee on July 23, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Victor’s extraordinary life, share stories of his jovial spirit, and reflect on the music that brought him so much joy.
