Vera Blanche Margaret Williams April 24, 1917 - September 13, 2014 Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alun Williams. Survived by; her daughters Linda Urech(Greg) and Helen Williams (David Annoye), her grandchildren Sarabeth Gidley (Joseph) and David Urech (Stephanie), and her great grandchildren Harper, Isaac, Gavin and Beckett. Vera grew up in Chester, England as part of a large family. At an early age Vera showed a great love of reading and drawing. She entered the British Army in 1939 where she used her drawing skills to update maps of Europe to support the Royal Air Force. She left the army in 1945 and moved to Llandudno, North Wales where she met and married Alun Williams and started a family. In 1953 Vera, Alun and their two girls immigrated to the United States. Besides being a fulltime mother Vera worked at 1st Wisconsin Bank for 20 years. She and Alun loved to travel around the US and showed their daughters the vast country they had made their second home. But "Home" was always England and Wales, and there were many trips to visit with family back "Home." Vera had many interests: she loved to golf, was a talented calligrapher, a decent bowler, a quilter and an avid reader. She was a member of Currie Women's Golf Club, Cream City Calligraphers, Glendale Women's Club, Whitefish Bay Book Club, and Whitefish Bay Community Methodist Church. Vera will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends and family are invited to join in a celebration of Vera's life on Saturday, October 18th from 11am to 1pm at Prasser Kleczka Funeral Home 3275 South Howell Ave. Milwaukee. There will be a brief service at 1:00.
