Nguyen, Van. Born to Eternal Life after a short but courageous battle with cancer on August 19, 2024 at the age of 70. Loving husband of Karen (nee Nitz) for 31 years with over 45 years of fun, love and laughter. Cherished father of Kristina. Devoted Cat Dad of Boots. Brother in law of Carol Ann (Fred) Haerter. Uncle of Rick (Missy) and Ben. Great-uncle of Brooke, Hayden, Emily and Evan. Also survived by other relatives and friends.

Van enjoyed fishing, gardening and tennis. He was an avid Packers fan, and found delight in long drives in the country. Van expressed his love and gratitude for others through food; he adored taking friends and family out for dinner and cooking delicious meals for them. Van was a devoted Santana fan and loved dancing -- especially to Disco. He spent early parts of his career in ship and machinery welding in Sturgeon Bay, and South Milwaukee, WI. He then became a dedicated employee for Milwaukee County and held various positions until he retired.
