Mravik, Valentine S. Age 86, of South Milwaukee, WI passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2015, at home surrounded by loved ones with the help of Vitas Hospice. He was born on January 30, 1929 in Lublin, the son of the late John and Louise (Cervenansky) Mravik. He attended Lublin area schools and took some classes at MATC.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rosella, of South Milwaukee; their children Dale (Linda) Mravik of Lublin, Delbert (Diana) Mravik, Sylvia (Cary) Fischer, both of South Milwaukee, Rodene (Michael) Bulley, of Adamstown, MD, Bonnie (Carl) Onesti of Luxemburg, WI and Kathern (Scott Winter) Mravik of Franklin, 25 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, one brother Emil of Portage, WI, two sisters-in-law, Wilma Mravik of Gilman, WI and Elaine Mravik of Medford, WI, also godchildren and many nieces and nephews. Valentine is preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, David Mravik, and eleven brothers and sisters.
On August 8, 1953 he was united in marriage to Rosella Webster at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lublin. After their marriage, they farmed on the Mravik home farm in Lublin and later moved to South Milwaukee. Val worked as a machinist at Perfex until his retirement in 1992. Besides his love for his family, he enjoyed hunting and bowling. Val's passion was in his woodworking of which he made numerous lighted Christmas trees, quilt racks and folding drying racks for his family and friends.
Visitation THURSDAY, August 20, 2015 from 9-12 noon at DIVINE MERCY PARISH, 800 Marquette Ave. South Milwaukee, WI. Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon. An additional visitation will take place at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Gilman, WI on Saturday, August 22 from 9-11 AM. Burial will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Lublin, WI.
