Tove Christine Case

(nee Loberg) Found peace on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at the age of 77 years. Loving mother of Erica (Corey Filkins) Case, Britt (Matthew) Waller and Bjorn Case. Beloved Grandmother of Griffon and Drake Dorfner, Jack, Emma and Caroline Waller, Collin and Madison Filkins. Dear sister to Grethe (Glenn) Schultz. Crazy dog Mom to Moppet, Bailey and Raven. Further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. She is proceeded in death by her husband of 34 years Terrance Case and her parents Hertha (nee Hundertmark) and Lars Loberg.

Tove was born in Skien, Norway, but made Bay View her home for most of her life. A proud graduate of Bay View High School's Class of 1967, she went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Special Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Master's degree from Cardinal Stritch University.

Tove dedicated 30 years to Milwaukee Public Schools, serving students at both Fritsche Middle School and Bay View High School. Teaching was more than a profession for her; it was a true calling. She found deep fulfillment in helping her students learn and grow, and she cherished the many lasting friendships she formed with colleagues throughout her career. Her passion for education and commitment to others left a meaningful impact on countless lives. Tove's legacy lives on through the generations of students she inspired, the friendships she nurtured, and the kindness and dedication she brought to every life she touched.

Tove loved spending time with her family and friends, and she somehow knew the name and personality of every dog in the neighborhood. An avid reader with a curious mind and a generous heart, she loved to cook, garden, and take long walks through Bay View. She adored her grandchildren and could always be counted on for a creative project, a silly story, a terrible joke, or a little bit of harmless mischief to make them laugh.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff at Milwaukee Catholic Home for their care and support over the last two years.

A Celebration of Life will be held at South Shore Pavilion on August 20, 2026 from 5:30-8:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials to The Michael J. Fox Foundation are appreciated.
