Obituary

Of Oak Creek, formerly of Franklin, Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004, age 76 years. Born to Giacomo and Catherine Pizzo on May 2, 1928. Beloved husband for 54 years of Jacqueline (nee Hall). Loving father of Cheri Ann Pizzo, Thomas J. Pizzo Jr. (Kayla), Gina Marie Pizzo (friend Jim Nally). Cherished grandpa of Travis. Dear brother of Salvatore Pizzo, Mary (Ramon) Hoffmann, Joseph (Beverly) Pizzo and the late Angela (the late John) Nolan. Also survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. Visitation at the Funeral Home (TODAY) THUR 4-7PM LIONS RITUAL at 7 PM. Visitation also FRI 9:30-10:30 AM. Funeral Service with the Rev. Harlyn Kuschel officiating at 10:30 AM, followed by Military Honors. Private interment at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Tom was the former and original owner of the Straight Line Pavement Marking Company of Franklin, WI. He was a member of Nathan Hale Masonic Lodge No. 350 F&AM, The Sons of Italy in America, the Italian Community Center of Milwaukee, Zion Ev. Lutheran Church of South Milwaukee and a U.S. Navy veteran serving during World War II. Tom was a dedicated member of Lions International since 1965, beginning with the Franklin Lions Club, the Fort Myers, FL Lions Club, the Franklin Noon Lions Club and currently the Milwaukee Lake Lions Club. Tom held all Club offices and District offices in District 27-A1, elected District Governor and served the term successfully in 1988/89 and was made a "Melvin Jones Fellow" by the members of the Franklin Lions Club. The Melvin Jones Fellow is the highest recognition given to a Lion member by Lions International, recognizing outstanding dedication to humanitarian services demonstrated by the recipient. Tom was a resident of the City of Franklin for 32 years. He was an appointed official for 16 years and an elected official for 10 years. He was appointed to the office of Alderman by the City Council in 1976 and left that office in 1988. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the Wisconsin Lions Camp in Rosholt, WI.
