Opalewski, Thomas G. "Tom" Ended his valiant battle with prostate cancer at home surrounded by his family on Monday, August 25, 2014. Age 68 years. Beloved husband of Kristine for 46 years. Loving father of Brian (Vicki), Mark (Susan), and Beth Opalewski. Proud grandfather of Alexa, Josh, Samantha, Jeremy, Zack, Joey, Tabitha, Sophia Opalewski and Liam Hoyer. Dear son of Vivian and the late George. Brother of the late Bill (Lois), Dan (the late Rita), Tim (Victoria), Georgianne and Julianne Opalewski. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Visitation on FRIDAY, August 29, 2014 at ST. LUKE'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH, 3200 South Herman St. from 1-2PM. Requiem Eucharist at 2PM. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery. A special thank you to the Aurora Visiting Nurses Association for their loving and tender care. Tom loved his family, sailing and the outdoors.
