Obituary

Of Phillips, WI, formerly of Milwaukee. Found peace and joined his beloved wife, Barbara (nee Gielow) Thursday, November 27, 2025, age 88 years. Loving father of Michael, Robert (Debra), James, David (Amber DiGiorgio) Metternich, Kristin (Christopher) Kroeninger and the late Katherine (the late John) Shain. Proud grandfather of Allison (Nick) Miazga and Caroline Kroeninger and Jarrett Metternich. Dearest brother of the late John (Judy) Metternich and the late Richard Metternich. Dear brother-in-law of Judy Ann (the late James) Lowry, James (Nancy) Gielow, the late June (the late Gene) Eickstaedt and the late Charles Gielow. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Tom was a retiree of Brinks Inc. after 34 years of service. He was an avid Packers, Brewers, Badgers and Bucks fan. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and with his wife Barbara enjoyed their retirement years they were blessed with in the Phillips, WI area.

Visitation at the Funeral Home Monday, December 8, 2025, 11:00 am-1:00 pm. Funeral Service at 1:00 PM Private entombment St. Adalbert Cemetery. If desired, memorials to the charity of your choice in Tom's memory are appreciated. Lastly, a sincere thank you to the supportive staff of Park Manor in Park Falls, WI, your kindess and support were very appreciated.
