Thomas E. "Tom" Crowley
Born to eternal life on Thursday, September 26, 2024, age 93 years. Beloved husband of Elaine (nee Daniels) and the late LaVerne (nee Podoski). Loving father of Sean (Melissa), Mary Frances (Keith) Smith and James (Beth) Crowley. Step-father of Nance Beth (Eli) Gusavac, Mark (Angelina) Speare, Sandra (James) Speare Mutranowski and Cara-lyn (the late Rick) Graham. Proud grandpa of Lauren (Randall) Cunningham, John (Paula) Crowley; Brenna, Bryce, Audra, Jude and Thomas Smith; and Colin Crowley. Dear great-grandfather of Lucy. Further survived and loved by step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, other family, friends, fellow coaches and players.
Tom was a United States Air Force veteran who served during the Korean War and proud member of Milwaukee Carpenters Union. He was a founding member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish and served on many committees over the years. He was most proud to be very active in the parish's largest renovation projects, including the church and gym. Coach Crowley established the St. Charles Borromeo youth football program in 1973 and remained active in various roles until 2019. Tom was extremely humbled to have his contributions recognized with the naming of "Tom Crowley Field" in his honor. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Hales Corners Care CEnter for thier loving and gentle care for Tom and his family. And also, a thank you to the staff of Brighton Hospice for thier end of life care for Tom.
Visitation at the Funeral Home on Sunday, October 6, 2024, 1:00-5:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, October 7, 2024, 10:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3100 W. Parnell Ave. Interment and military honors to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
