Obituary

Age 56, passed away unexpectedly in Springfield, Missouri, on January 4, 2025, and was joyfully reunited with Christ. Tom is survived by his best friend and devoted wife, Donna Canzoneri; his cherished children, Krysta Trevino (Alex), Malissa Tilander (Josh), Jordan Canzoneri (Ryan), and Joshua Forjan, and preceded in death by Jeffery Forjan whom were all the greatest joys of his life. He is also survived by his loving parents, Gaetano Canzoneri and Giuseppina Leto Canzoneri; his beloved brothers, Alfonso Canzoneri (Judy) and Angelo Canzoneri; as well as many dear nieces, nephews, friends, coworkers, and his loyal canine companions.

Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Tom graduated from Thomas More High School, where he began his journey in public service as a police aide. He dedicated 25 years to the Milwaukee Police Department as a police officer, retiring in 2012. Tom later pursued a second career as an operational manager at Milwaukee PC before retiring again in 2023.

After retiring for the 2nd time, Tom and his wife Donna moved to Crane, Missouri in October 2023 where he could finally enjoy "retirement life" but he got bored, then he found fulfillment working alongside his brother and sister-in-law at their construction services company. Above all else, Tom loved his family with his whole heart. He was a fiercely devoted father who would do anything for his children, no matter what. He was their protector, mentor, and greatest supporter, always putting their needs above his own. His selflessness and unconditional love were constants in their lives, and he found immense pride and joy in watching them thrive.

Tom was an active member of Landmark Church in Strafford, Missouri, serving faithfully on the security team. He was baptized again in 2023, reaffirming his commitment to God and embracing his church family with open arms.

Known for his quick comebacks, humility and servant's heart, he found purpose and joy in helping others and living a life guided by faith.

Tom will be remembered as a loving husband, a devoted father, and a man who gave endlessly of himself. His stubborn determination, warm humor, and ability to make others laugh left an indelible mark on everyone he met. He was truly one of a kind-a man of integrity, sensitivity, grace, and deep kindness. He will be profoundly missed but lovingly remembered by all who were blessed to know him.
