IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Susan Lee
Miller
July 6, 1953 – December 22, 2025
Suzan Lee Miller, July 6, 1953- December 22, 2025, age 72, passed away surrounded by family and love.
Susan, known lovingly as Susie, was a deeply cherished sister and the light of her family. She loved having fun, going out to dinner, festivals, family trips, eating lots of ice cream, music and spending time with those she cared about most. Her laughter, warmth, and crazy sense of humor brought people together, and her presence made every gathering brighter.
Susie grew up in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she attended and graduated from South Milwaukee high school in 1971, a proud Rocket to the end serving as Ronnie Rocket in 1970.
Not long after, she moved to Washington State, where she built her life and career.
She retired from The Boeing Company in Seattle, Washington, after 30 years of dedicated service, taking pride in her work and the relationships she formed along the way. At the age of 58. Susie returned to her home state of Wisconsin to spend her retirement close to the family she loved so dearly.
A lifelong animal lover, Susie devoted much of her time in Washington to rehoming and fostering Greyhounds, working with several organizations to help them find safe and loving homes. She had the opportunity to raise horses of her own while living in Washington. She also had several beloved "fur babies", who brought her immense joy and companionship.
During her retirement, Susie and her sister periodically worked for a dear friend who owned an alpaca farm, a place she absolutely loved. Being around the animals brought her peace and happiness. They had so much fun and shared many wonderful memories there. As her Parkinson's disease progressed, she was no longer able to continue this work, though her love for animals never faded.
Susie fought a long and difficult battle with Parkinson's with courage and resilience, supported by the love of her family.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Ann Miller, and her father, Richard Witheral, her son Jacob C. Bushby, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
She is survived by her; her brothers Joe (Wendy) Parise and Mike Parise; sister Diane (Gregg) Parise-Bridge her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nephews; her Aunt Susan Miller; cousins; and her beloved fur babies, Timmy and Samson.
Susie's life was defined by joy, compassion, and love-for her family, her friends, and the animals she cared for so deeply. Her memory will live on in the countless lives she touched.
A huge Thank you to the aides at Meadowmere assisted living for taking such good care of Susie for the short time she lived there.
She will forever be missed.
The worst day of my life was the last day of yours.

The Keeper of the Garden
You were the first to lead the way,
The one who watched us grow.
The keeper of our secrets,
And the heart we came to know.
You nurtured every flower,
With a love so deep and true,
And now the garden flourishes,
Because it once had you.
Though you've walked through the gate,
To a garden fair and bright,
Your love remains the seed,
That leads us toward the light.
