IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sue Ann Margaret
Franks
June 9, 1950 – September 27, 2025
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Sue Ann Margaret Franks, who departed this life peacefully on September 27, 2025, in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, at the age of 75. Born in Columbus, Wisconsin, on June 9, 1950, Sue was a beloved sister, devoted mother, and cherished friend whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.
Sue grew up on the family farm in Lowell, WI. After she graduated from high school she moved to Milwaukee and was employed by Blue Cross Blue Shield where she spent her career working as a claims adjuster. Sue also worked for Kohl's Department Store in various departments throughout her adult life. She enjoyed the people that she worked with and assisting customers.
Sue was a devoted mother to her daughter, Kimberly, with whom she shared a deep bond filled with love, understanding, and countless cherished memories. Family was always at the heart of Sue's life. She treasured time spent with loved ones, whether gathering together to celebrate life's milestones or taking her nieces, nephews, and her granddaughter, Kassidy, on special outings to the zoo. Sue was also a natural caretaker, extending her compassion and devotion to her long-time companion, Bruce.
In retirement, Sue found joy in life's simple pleasures. She delighted in knitting and crocheting, and her love for animals—especially dogs—meant she never passed one by without stopping to give it affection. Her laughter, warm and infectious, could often be heard at family gatherings, bringing joy to those around her. She also shared her love of movies and musicals with Kassidy, with Mamma Mia holding a special place in their hearts.
In honor of her life, we will hold a graveside memorial service at St. Isadore Cemetery (W7296 Co Rd J, Clyman WI) at 12:00 pm on October 18th to celebrate Sue's legacy and the love she shared with us all. There will be a gathering following the ceremony at Chances Pub & Grill (N8592 Front St, Burnett, WI). We invite family, friends, and all whose lives she touched to join us in remembering Sue and the beautiful moments we shared.
Following her wishes, Sue will be cremated, with her ashes placed at a location that will forever remain a part of our family. Her memory lives on in our hearts, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
Rest in peace, Sue. Your spirit will forever illuminate our lives.
