Steven Michael Maloney, was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on December 16, 1959 and passed away in Milwaukee on November 22, 2023.

Steven is survived by his dog, Bella; his stepmother, Sharon Maloney of Sun City West, AZ; his six siblings and their families; Kathy (Mike) Krajewski of Mukwonago, WI, Caroline Cromby of Muskego, WI, Dave Maloney of Minneapolis, MN, James (Andrew) Maloney (Nance) of San Francisco, CA, Thomas Maloney of Deforest, WI and Maureen Maloney of Chandler, AZ. He was preceded in death by his dogs Bugsy and Ellie and his parents, Jerome and Anne.

Steven graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara where he enlisted in the Army ROTC program. After graduating with his BA, he followed his dream of becoming a helicopter pilot, he earned his pilot wings at Ft. Rucker, AL. He flew attack (AH-1 Cobra), observation (OH-58 Kiowa) and transport (UH-1 Iroquois and UH-60 Black Hawk) helicopters ending his flying career as an Aeromed officer. He ended his career as a Family Assistance officer, helping soldiers and their families during difficult times. He retired as a Major from the California National Guard. In retirement he found a new passion in real estate, started his own business and became a realtor, a job he loved and cared about till the end.

He was always happiest and proudest when he was with his dogs. He wanted Bella to become a comfort dog at hospitals, Steve was her first patient.
