Shirley was born and raised on the southside of Milwaukee in the Town of Lake and was a graduate of Bay View High School. She spent her entire faith life in the Missouri Synod of the Lutheran Church. She was a longtime member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church and Lutheran Chapel of the Cross. The last several years of her life Shirley lived at Meadowmere in Oak Creek where she appreciated those who cared for her.

Throughout her life Shirley volunteered much time helping children. She was a longtime Sunday School Teacher, Scout Leader and active volunteer at her children's schools. She enjoyed spending her time crafting and painting. What was most important to Shirley though was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her family would like to thank caregivers and staff at St. Luke's Medical Center - 10th floor of the Garden Tower. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Shirley's name may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Memorial Visitation at the Funeral Home Friday, January 9, 2026 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Memorial Service at 6:00 PM. Private Interment Woodlawn Cemetery.
