Found peace on Thursday, August 15, 2024, age 93 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin L. Nelson. Matriarch and loving mother to 10 children, Sharon (Robert) Cech, Sandra (the late James) Schopf, Wayne (Chris) Nelson, Susan Nelson (George Marczewski), Mark Nelson (Jackie), Rick (Janice) Nelson, Randy Nelson, Shelly (Kris) Sorensen, Todd Nelson and Michael (Diane) Nelson. Preceded in death by her sister Delores (the late Martin) Kaiser. Survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other family and friends.

Shirley had many jobs, but her favorites were as a cook at the former Rafters and the former Robert's restaurants. As a family we will always remember the card games, pool parties, holiday get-togethers and the trips to the casinos.

A sincere thank you to her caregivers, for the loving and tender care Shirley received over the last three years.
