Obituary

Our sweet Sheila passed away suddenly on Friday morning, September 19, 2025 at the age of 46. She had a long battle with Huntington Disease for the past 10 years. She was a kind, compassionate, loving and tremendously caring person. She was our sweet angel on Earth! She never complained or asked "why me?" She always embraced every day with her contagious smile and many kind words. Sheila loved ALL animals, especially her beloved "Bailey." During her high school years, Sheila was in Cross Country and Track as well as an accomplished French Horn player. Sheila graduated from Northern Michigan University with a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science. She touched so many lives. We are all so much better for having known her. Sheila will be deeply missed, and always in our hearts.

She is the beloved daughter of Ronald and Susan (nee Ratajczak) Hibben. Sister of Shane. Devoted and caring partner and companion of Rich Marshall for over 20 years, who stood by her through good times and bad. Loving mother of Helen Moore.

Sheila's family would like to extend their gratitude to her doctors (Dr. Brand, Dr. Blindauer and Dr. Mylavarapu) and their staff for their expertise and kindness over the years, as well as the St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care (Stein Campus) -- Sheila's second home! -- for their compassionate and loving care, as well as Family Care (Melissa and Sarah) for their kindness and support, and her caregivers Jeanette and Gina.

Private family services have been held. Memorials, if so desired, may be made to the St. Ann Center (Stein Campus) in Sheila's memory.
