Very proud grandpa of Matthew Stankowski, Timothy (Sarah) Barber, Michael (Marlaena) Barber, Theresa (Jeffrey Rivera) Burns, Kari Stankowski, Kathryn Barber, Trisha (Aaron) Lewandowski, Ann Hancock, Robert Burns, Jonathan Hancock, Joshua and Jeremy Check. Dear brother of Ted Johnson, Edwin (Lucille) Stankowski, Dominic (Marcella) Stankowski, Ernest (Mary) Stankowski, Evelyn Nowak and Virginia (Cliff) Falkowski. Brother-in-law of Ruth Krenzer and dear friend, Mary Frejnik. Also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Pete was a retiree of Miller Brewing, a United States Navy veteran serving in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, completing crossword puzzles and planting and protecting his garden. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the 3rd floor at St. Luke's South Shore, for the gentle care given and patience shown to Severin and his family.
