Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Scott Caley Kallerud, age 81, who departed this life on May 28, 2025. Born on January 3, 1944, in West Allis, Wisconsin, he lived a life marked by love, passion, and commitment to his family and craft. Scott received a heart transplant in 2005 which continued his life and gave him twenty more years to spend with the people he loved. He was extremely grateful for this life-saving gift.

Scott was a devoted son, husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved children, Dennis Kallerud (Christine Frahm) and Dina (Thomas) Sujecki; former daughter-in-law, Cheryl McPherson; grandchildren, Matthew (Julia), Andrew (Jessica), Kaitlynne (C.J.) Michalek, and Joseph; great-grandchildren, William, Amelia, Berkley, Hallie, Violet, and baby boy to be, who will carry forward his legacy of strength and compassion. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them, particularly during family gatherings where laughter and stories were shared.

An accomplished welder, Scott devoted many years of his life to the heavy machinery manufacturing industry, working with pride at reputable companies such as Caterpillar, Milwaukee Boiler, and Krones. Beyond his profession, he was a true craftsman who could fix anything and was known for his woodworking skills that showcased his creativity and dedication.

Scott had a zest for life that shone through his many hobbies. He loved fishing, hunting, and camping, often finding solace in the great outdoors. His Norwegian heritage was a point of pride for him, and he embraced it wholeheartedly.
