Obituary

(nee Curzon), age 97, of Greenfield, went to God's arms on June 27, 2013. Beloved wife of Roy for 79 years. Loving mother of Lyn (John) Schoenfeld, proud Nana of Judy (Steve) Shelley, Janet (Dean) Derfus, and Joy (Myron) Burns. Proud great-grandmother of Jazzie, D.J., Cassie and Jada. Further survived by her sister Gloria, nephews and nieces Jerry, Jan, Keith, Judy, Jeff and Cindy, special friend Paula, other relatives and friends. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Leah Curzon, brother Buddy Resler, sister and brother-in-law Kathleen and Bob Gaulke. Ruth was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved and served her husband Roy, family, and church selflessly. An adept businesswoman, she, along with her husband, owned and operated Resler's Food Store in Bay View for 22 years. Ruth was a woman of God, with a gift for service and unconditional love. Her courage, strength, love and devotion will go unrivaled to all who knew her. Visitation on Monday, July 1, 2013, 12noon-1:00 PM at ST. LUKE'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH, 3200 S. Herman Street, Milwaukee, WI 53207. Requiem Eucharist at 1:00 PM. Interment Arlington Cemetery. Special thank you to the staff at Layton Terrace Spring House and Vitas Hospice for their compassionate care.
