Born August 5, 1942 and left this world for a better place on November 9, 2013. Loving husband for 45 years of Katie (nee Talaska) Pirlot. Cherished father of Greg (Carrie Kopke) and Sarah Johnson. Beloved grandpa of Rian Nicole and Zachary Edward. Russ is further survived by his sisters, Vicki Stone (Alex Hamilton) and Betty (Howard) Marshall. Brother-in-law of Charlie (Jean) Gallo, Bob (Betty), Ken (Tracey) Talaska, Larry (Louise) Buerger and Al Hitterman. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister the late Delores Hitterman and his brother the late Walter Pirlot. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. Russ served in the United States Marine Corps from June of 1960 until June of 1964. The family would like to give a special thank you to his friend John Koivisto, for his wonderful kindness and unfailingly visits weekly to Russ from the time of his placement at River Hills until the time of his passing. Also a special thank you to the staff at River Hills West for their care and kindness and for treating Russ with the respect he deserved. A celebration of Russ' life will take place at a later date.
