On August 17th, the family of Russell H. Karweik, age 80, bid farewell to their most loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. In 1981, Russell was preceded in death by his loving wife of 33 years, Lorayne (nee Howard) Karweik. Following her death, Russell kept the family together as a close and caring family by affectionately devoting himself to his children: Roger (Wendy), Dennis (Judy), Kevin (Janis), Gregg (Debbie Hesiak), Brian (Pamela), Sharon (David) Janikowski, and Neal (Melissa); his grandchildren: Jennifer Karweik, Jeanna Marie (Christopher) Mingus, Jason (Buffy) Karweik, Jordan and Benjamin Jon Karweik, Andrew and Cassidy Janikowski, Tyler and Austin Karweik and Christopher and Curtis Jones; as well as great-grandchildren Whitney Tidman, Zowey and Ethan Karweik, and Brandon Marks. For many years Russell made his home in Bay View relocating with the family to Oak Creek in 1972. He served his country in WW II as a tailgunner with the Army Air Corps, and worked for the Department of Transportation, Division of Motor Vehicles for over 40 years. He will be missed greatly by a very special group of lifelong friends, and many nieces and nephews. Dad, we send you our deepest love and gratitude for all that you have done for us throughout our lives. Know that you will always be in our hearts and minds.
