Age 100, of Greenfield, went to God's arms and joined his beloved wife of 79 years, Ruth (nee Curzon), on Monday August 19, 2013. Loving father of Lyn (John) Schoenfeld, proud Papa of Judy (Steve) Shelley, Janet (Dean) Derfus, and Joy (Myron) Burns. Proud great-grandfather of Jazzie, D.J., Cassie and Jada. Further survived by nephews and nieces Jerry, Jan, Keith, Judy, Jeff and Cindy, other relatives and friends. Roy was also preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Stella Resler; his brothers Eddie, Paul and Herb Resler and sister, Shirley Burns. Roy was a longtime and faithful member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, was a hardworking businessman and along with his wife, owned and operated Resler's Food Store in Bay View for 22 years. He was also a member and PastMaster of Rusk Lodge No. 259 F & AM, member and Past President of Lake Shore Shrine, Tripoli Shrine and member of the 32nd degree. Private Services were held.
