Roy John Leda
Peacefully passed on April 4, 2026, at the age of 91. He was born on February 24, 1935, to Adam and Rosalia (Matkey) Leda. He enlisted in the Army and served 3 years in Japan during the Korean conflict. That experience set his direction in life becoming an electrician at the MMSD and obtaining his Electrical contractor license. In September 1968 Roy married Deana Marifke and they were partners in life for over 50 years. Some of Roy's life experiences were travels to Europe, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and Tasmania (he wanted to see the Tasmanian devil); 1967 Montreal World's Fair; 1995 Super Bowl; 1996 Olympics; 1997 Tyson/Holyfield Fight "The Bite Fight"; numerous NY Broadway Plays. Also, he was an avid trapshooter/ Cudahy Gun Club. And In 2023 he was awarded the AMVET of the year by AMVET Post #4. There were two individuals in his life that he felt influenced who he was as a person. His love for fishing and the outdoors he always attributed to a dear friend, Augie Panietz and his thirst for knowledge was influenced by another lifelong friend Matt Pachi Sr. Roy is survived by his loving wife Deana, sister-in-law Toni Ohm, brothers-in-law, Bill (Christine) Marifke, Jerry (Denise) Marifke many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Marlene Magnarini, brothers-in-law, Rudy Magnarini and Bruce Ohm, great niece Marlie Magnarini, and nephew Daniel Ohm.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
