Obituary

Roxanne M. Mierow (nee Finckbone)

With heavy hearts we share the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, Roxanne Marie Mierow (nee Finckbone) on Monday, February 9, 2026, aged 75 years of Franklin, Wisconsin. Roxanne was born on January 17, 1951, in Beltrami, MN, and lived a life rooted in love for her family, service to others, and unwavering faith in her Savior, Jesus Christ.

Roxanne was the daughter of Lloyd Norman Finckbone and Rosalene Marie Finckbone (nee Lovell), both of whom preceded her in death. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Charles and Gregory, and her sisters Sandra and Leanna.

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, William E. Mierow, and her devoted children: Lori (Ric) Zillmer, Kristen (Mark) Jarstad, Tammany (Ben) Salawater, Caryn Van Buskirk, William Jr (Jill), and Jamie (Bryan) Boettcher. Roxanne's greatest joy was her family, especially her role as "Grandma." She was extremely proud of her 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She celebrated their achievements, followed their journeys closely, and held them faithfully in prayer. Her legacy of love, faith, and family lives on through them.

She is further survived by her sister Cyndi, who shared her love of crafting and quilting, and her half- siblings Gabrielle, Margaret, Lloyd Jr, and Joseph, along with many extended family members and dear friends.

Roxanne earned a degree in Business Administration from Cardinal Stritch University and, while she held many different jobs in her life, her true love was computers. This passion led her to a long and fulfilling career educating users on the many facets of manufacturing operating systems. She retired from Newell Brands in 2009 but later returned to the workforce as an office manager at I-Cat Logistics, where she retired for a second time in 2016.

Beyond her work and family, Roxanne found joy in crafting, quilting, and baseball. She was an accomplished quilter and an active member of both the Lighthouse Quilters Guild and the Mississippi Valley Quilters Guild, creating many prize-winning quilts that reflected her patience, creativity, and precision.

Roxanne was also a devoted Milwaukee Brewers fan. Game days were always special to her, and she proudly wore one of her many Brewers shirts as part of her game day routine. Although she wasn't able to attend as many games as she would have liked, she rarely missed a televised game, faithfully following every inning and every season. Win or lose, her loyalty never waivered and many family members will forever associate baseball - and those familiar blue and gold colors - with their memories of Roxanne.

Roxanne's faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of her life. She lived that life through kindness, perseverance, and love for others. While we grieve her loss, we find comfort in knowing that she is now at peace in the presence of her Savior.

To us, Roxanne was a steady anchor, a citadel of truth and quiet strength. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
