Ronald Pawlak, a beloved husband, father, and veteran passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025, at the age of 92. Ron was born on January 5, 1933, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he spent his life.
A proud Navy veteran, Ron served his country from 1953 to 1957 on the historic Battleship Wisconsin. His time in the Navy instilled in him a strong sense of duty and camaraderie that would remain with him throughout his life.
Ron was a dedicated videographer in the television industry. He spent his career at Northwestern Mutual Life, where his talent for storytelling through the lens won admiration. His passion for photography extended beyond his profession; he was an avid sports photographer and a loyal supporter of the Wave soccer team, often seen cheering from the stands.
Ron cherished his family deeply. He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Pawlak, and his two sons, Keith (Kathy) and Dale (Karen) Pawlak; his grandchildren, Amanda and Sandra; his great-grandson, Landon; and his brother, David. Further survived by other family and friends. Together with Carol, Ron enjoyed traveling to many places, from Alaska to the Galapagos Islands. He also enjoyed time in Crivitz with his son, Keith.
In addition to his love for travel and family, Ron was a man of diverse talents and interests. He enjoyed leatherwork, crewel embroidery, and practiced martial arts. He had black belts in Tai Chi, Taekwondo, and Shotokan Karate.
As we celebrate the life of this remarkable man, we invite all family and friends to join us for a memorial visitation that will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 from 11 AM - 1 PM with a memorial service to follow after. In lieu of flowers, donations to Repairers of the Breach in Ronald's name is appreciated.
In his memory, let us celebrate a life well-lived.
Ronald was preceded in death by: his parents, Joseph Pawlak and Regina Baranowski; his first wife and mother of his children, Mary Cwirka; his son, Kenneth Pawlak; his brother, Joseph Pawlak; and his sister, Dolores Klump.
