Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at the age of 71. Loving brother of Patricia Hammer, Gilbert "Ricky" Hammer, Rita Jones, Richard Jones and Debra Jones. Devoted partner of Jeff Eskau. Preceded in death by his parents Willard and Elizabeth Jones; siblings Mildred Hammer. Mary Hammer, Marjorie Hammer, Dwayne Hammer, Irvin Hammer, Raymond Hammer, Robert Jones and Anna Marie Jones.

Hammer was a Potawatomie Casino legend. He served for over 30 years as a chef and later Food and Beverage Director of the Casino before he retired. His cooking was well rounded and delicious. He served thousands of people and the pleasure that his guests received from his food brought him great joy. He loved thrifting and could often be found at Goodwill looking for his next treasure. He always had a smile on his face and was the life of the party. His sense of humor was fantastic and he was always ready with a joke to brighten your day.

Visitation SATURDAY, August 17 from 1-4 PM at the Funeral Home with the Oneida Singers performing at 3:30 PM. Funeral Service at 4 PM.
