Obituary

Of South Milwaukee, born to eternal life Sunday, March 7, 2010 age 95 years. Beloved husband for 67 years of Elaine (nee Christel). Dear father of John (Joanne) Verbraken and Roxane Schumacher. Loving grandfather of Kristin (Dan) Birkholz, Corrie Verbraken and Daniel Schumacher. Special great-grandfather of Jack and Cameron. Brother-in-law of Bill Hirman, Patricia (Dave) Biasco, Bill Christel and Mary (Ed) Mulloy. Further survived by other family and many friends. Visitation MON March 15th 9-11 AM at DIVINE MERCY PARISH 1700 13th Ave. South Milwaukee. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Rev. Ronald J. Gramza, Celebrant. Entombment and Military Honors Holy Sepulcher Cemetery. Rocky and Elaine owned and operated Verbraken's Card and Gift Shop in South Milwaukee from 1960-1983. He was a 1937 graduate of Marquette University, proudly served as a Captain in the US Army Signal Corps during WWII and a volunteer escort for over 25 years at St. Luke's South Shore.
