Roger W.
Kloehn MD
September 3, 1935 – May 18, 2026
Dr. Roger Kloehn passed away peacefully on Monday, May 18, 2026, at the age of 90, surrounded by the love of his family. Roger was the husband and friend of 65 years to Jeri Pat (nee Weber), and a proud and loving father to Michael (Tammy) Kloehn, Thomas (Marianne) Kloehn, and Robert Kloehn. He was an especially proud grandfather to Tyler Kloehn, Dr. Ian Kloehn, Brandon Kloehn, Jessica (Adrian) Kloehn-Lipinski, and Jaime Kloehn, each of whom brought him joy.
Roger was preceded in death by his brother, Dr. Ralph (the late Theresa) Kloehn. He was a cherished uncle to Colonel Colleen (Syd) Kloehn, Kristine Kloehn, Patricia Kloehn, Michelle (Charles) Kloehn-Leonard, Dr. Gregory (Lisa) Kloehn, Timothy (Julie) Kloehn, and Philip (Annie) Kloehn. He also leaves behind many beloved extended family members, dear friends, former colleagues, and grateful patients whose lives he touched over the years.
Roger dedicated his life to caring for others. After completing his undergraduate studies in Physics and Mathematics at Marquette University, he earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed his internship at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital, followed by a residency in Internal Medicine at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital and additional residency training in Neurology at University Hospital Madison.
For more than 50 years, Roger practiced medicine at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital, where he became known not only for his intelligence and skill, but for his kindness, humility, and unwavering compassion. He was one of the five founding physicians of North Point Medical Group, which later became Columbia St. Mary’s Community Physicians. Medicine was more than a profession to Roger — it was his calling. He cared deeply for every patient and formed lasting friendships with many colleagues throughout his remarkable career.
Beyond medicine, Roger will be remembered for his gentle spirit, quiet wisdom, and warm smile. He took great pride in the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren and treasured time spent together. His steady presence, generosity, and caring nature will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
Keeping with Roger’s wishes, private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dr. Kloehn’s memory may be made to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Wisconsin serving Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
Roger’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at Milwaukee Catholic Home for the tender care, kindness, and support they provided him and his family.
