Roger S. Burant, born on February 10, 1941, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was called home to eternal life surrounded by his family on June 16, 2026, at the age of 85.
Roger is survived by his cherished wife, Dianne Burant. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Violet Burant (née Glodowski).
Roger leaves behind his loving children, Bonnie Massey, Lori Burant, Randy (Maria) Burant, Dawn (Jim) O'Boyle, and Julie Ann (Timothy) Wiltzius; stepfather to Dan (Carrie) Kulas.
Roger was a cherished grandfather to Kayla (Grant) Reimer, Dana Burant, Nicholas (Amanda) O'Boyle, Meghan O'Boyle, Zachary Wiltzius, and Olivia Wiltzius; step-grandfather to Tyler Kulas and Walker Kulas and a great grandfather to Beckham Reimer and Brody Reimer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Bernice Burant, and his brother, David Burant. Roger is survived by his siblings, Eileen (Jim) Konkol, Mark (Karen) Burant, Cheryl (Tom) Davis, and Glenn Burant. He is further survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.
Roger touched the lives of many through his generous spirit and loving nature. One of his greatest joys was lending a helping hand to family and friends through the many talents he possessed. There was very little he could not build, repair, or improve. Whether constructing a shed, wiring a home, building a rec room, or repairing a motor, Roger approached every project with skill, determination, and pride. He gave freely of his time and talents and never expected anything in return.
Roger also found great enjoyment in gardening, canning, making jerky, and deer hunting. Nothing brought him more happiness than gathering family around a large home-cooked meal, where great food and lively conversation kept everyone connected. Stories were shared, laughter was plentiful, and lasting memories were made. His warmth, generosity, selflessness, and ability to bring people together created memories that will be treasured for years to come. He will be deeply missed.
Throughout his career, Roger worked as a maintenance machinist, most notably at Babcock & Wilcox and the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, where he remained until his retirement and was respected for his strong work ethic, dependability, mechanical expertise, and dedication to doing every job well.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1441 W. Oakwood Road, Oak Creek. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will take place at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
