Born to Eternal Life and went to join his beloved wife of 60 years, Mary Margaret (nee McCormick), on Saturday, February 16, 2013. Age 89 years. Loving father of Michael and Matthew (Randy Frank) Middlemas. Special family friend of Carol Murphy. Dear brother of the late Catherine (the late Sylvester) Tennessen. Brother-in-law of David (Jean Ellen), Richard (Mary Lou) and Catherine Shimentz. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members, friends, dear neighbors and his granddogs, Madison, Butters, Peanut and Nicholas.
Robin was retired from the City of Milwaukee Water Department as Head of Operations, was a former member, past-president and the 2001 Lifetime Achievement recipient of the American Water Works Association. He was a graduate of Bay View High School where he held several swimming records, a graduate of UW-Madison where he lettered in swimming and a life member of the South Shore Yacht Club. Robin along with his late wife, Mary, enjoyed retirement as he and his wife traveled around the world together. Robin also served his country during WWII as an officer in the U.S. Navy. A heartfelt thank you to the caring staff of the Aurora Visiting Nurse Association for the loving and supportive care you gave Robin and his family.
Memorial Visitation at the Funeral Home on Thursday February 21st from 4:00-7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial at THE CHURCH OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION, 1023 E. Russell Ave., Friday, Feb. 22nd at 11:00 AM. Inurnment and Military Honors to follow at Forest Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Wisconsin Humane Society or St. Thomas More High School are appreciated.
