Robert A. Zakrzewski
Born to Eternal Life on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at the age of 93 years. Beloved husband of the late Patricia Zakrzewski (nee Schwender). Loving father of Pamela (Jeff) Schein, Sandra (Kerry) Brunner, Robert C. (Elsa) Zakrzewski, Linda (David) Meynarez and the late Timothy Zakrzewski. Cherished grandfather of Eric (Melissa) Schein, Jenna (Martin) Ladouceur, Jessica (Alex) Cannistra, Kevin Schein, Hannah (Stephen) Losty and Victoria Schein; Zachary Brunner, Sara (Alex) Perruci and Rebecca Brunner; Isabella Zakrzewski and Noah Zakrzewski; Jacob Meynarez, Rachael Meynarez and Samuel Meynarez. Dear great-grandfather of Kylie Rose Schein and Adalynn Perruci. Dear brother of Joanne (the late Bob) Fedran. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other family members, friends and future baby Losty.
Bob was born in Milwaukee and raised on the southside. He attended St. Stanislaus grade school and was also an altar boy at church. He was a 1949 graduate of Don Bosco High School. After high school, Bob attended MSOE, Marquette University and MATC. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955. During his working career, Bob worked as a draftsman for Dittmore Freimuth Co. and Astronautics Corp. He was Project Leader at Evinrude Motors from 1969-1982. He went on to work for 30 years in Sales at American Micrographics Corporation now known as CH Coakley. Throughout his life Bob enjoyed golf, fishing, bowling, playing cards and having lunch with Jack and his friends from Don Bosco: "The 49ers." Whether it was golf, bowling or playing cards, Bob cherished being with his friends Tom Z., Dave T., Tim E., Bob F., Jim S., Larry F., Dennis Z., Mark Y., Larry S. and Bob R. and many more. Bob very much appreciated the friendship and kindness of the staff at the Oak Creek Diner, not to mention the food!
Visitation at the Funeral Home Friday, April 11, 2025 from 4-7 PM. Prayer Service at 7 PM. Visitation also Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 10-11 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3100 W. Parnell Ave. Milwaukee. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Military Honors and Entombment to follow at Forest Home Cemetery.
