Robert W. White

Born to Eternal Life on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at the age of 68. Loving husband of Denise (nee Elenich) of 36 years. Dear son-in-law of Barbara (the late Roland) Elenich. Beloved brother-in-law of Dale (Anabelly Garcia) Elenich. Further survived by other relatives and many friends.

Preceded in death by his parents William White Sr. and Mabel White; his siblings William (Billie Jo) White Jr. and James White.

Bob began his employment years at Grede Foundry in Milwaukee, then acted on an opportunity to work for South Side Roofing, Milwaukee. He was with Roofers Local 65 of Milwaukee. Bob accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior on March 5, 1986. In his early 30s, Bob attended Trinity Bible College, Ellendale, ND, earning a BA in Biblical Studies with a Missions minor.

While at Trinity, Bob served as Resident Director of both men's dormitories. He taught in the Missions Department and led the Missions Outreach Team on ministry trips including the Rosebud Indian Reservation in South Dakota and the Cabrini-Green neighborhood in Chicago. During some summers, Bob led teams in patching and replacing roofs on campus buildings.

Bob was a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God denomination. After college graduation, Bob served on staff at Oak Creek Assembly of God (Discover Church) for 13 years. As his health started to decline, Bob ministered part-time at Changing Lives Assembly of God in Cudahy and then Calvary Assembly of God (Honey Creek Church) in Wauwatosa. Ultimately, Bob left ministry due to extensive medical issues.

When younger, Bob enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles. He liked watching movies (especially Westerns) and reading. A favorite past time was cooking and trying new recipes with Denise. Bob tried his hand at container gardening and was proud of the tomatoes and bell peppers he grew! He enjoyed the natural beauty of the Wisconsin Dells and spending time there. Bob loved animals and was especially fond of the many guinea pigs he and Denise had as pets. His dogs Teddy (childhood) and Roxie were greatly loved.

Robert's family is hosting a visitation SATURDAY, September 30 at Discover Church, 7311 S. 13th St, Oak Creek, from 9-11 AM. Celebration of Life Service at 11 AM.
