Tilley, Robert G. III Robert G. Tilley III left this earth on February 28 after a sudden unexpected illness. He is now reunited with his loving parents.
Bob was born in Canton, OH on July 12, 1942 and was raised in Highland Park, IL. He attended Immaculate Conception elementary school, Quigley Preparatory Seminary in Chicago and the Jesuit Seminary in Milford, OH. He attended Marquette University and graduated in 1967 with a degree in Psychology. He spent most of his life as a Hospitality Manager throughout the Milwaukee area.
Bob was proficient in several languages including German, Spanish, and Latin. He often volunteered at the Literacy Services of Wisconsin as a tutor for "English as a Second Language". He was an avid reader and also enjoyed the arts and music especially summer jazz programs in the parks. He also often attended art exhibits and plays and his reviews could occasionally be read online at Shepherd Express Milwaukee.com. He enjoyed keeping up with local sports teams Packers, Brewers and Bucks and going to games when time allowed. His love of coffee brought him many friends as he made the rounds of the coffee shops around the Marquette campus!!!
He is survived by his son, Mark (Stephanie) Wagner and 2 granddaughters, Marina and Lara; 2 sisters: Janet (Larry) Kennedy of Pinedale, AZ and Anne Tilley of Racine, 5 brothers: Michael (Kris) Tilley of Waukesha, Patrick Tilley of Cedarburg, David Tilley of Georgetown, CO, Kevin (Laura) Tilley of Ormond Beach, FL, and Jim Tilley of Racine, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents: Robert G. Tilley II and Veronica Schwalbach Tilley and his grandparents: Robert and Mary Schwalbach and Robert and Eleanor Bird Tilley.
Memorial visitation at the Funeral Home MONDAY, March 9, 2015 from 5-7 PM. Memorial Service at 7 PM. Private interment Sacred Heart of Jesus Church Cemetery.
