Robert L. Oleniczak
Born to Eternal Life on May 3, 2025, age 95. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Roberta (nee Kelley) & sisters Eleanore (Walter), Bernice (Lester), Louise (Edward). Dedicated Father to Susan, the late Margaret, Elizabeth (the late Steven), Robert (Raquel) & Steven. Special Uncle to Tina (John). Loving Grandfather to Lauren (Brad), Rebecca, Samantha & Piper. Brother-in-law to Carol (the late Robert & the late Peter), Jeanne (the late Dennis), & the late Thomas (the late Patricia). In his later years after Roberta's passing, he found companionship in Dear Friend Joyce and became one of her loving caretakers until the time of his passing. Also survived by generations of nieces & nephews, other relatives & dear friends.
Bob was born on July 29, 1929 in the Town of Lake. He attended Bay View High School Class of 1947. He served in the United States Air Force as Central Fire Controller on the B-29 during the Korean War & was honorably discharged in 1953.
Upon his return, Bob attended Marquette University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering in 1959.
On November 29, 1958, he was united in marriage to Roberta (nee: Kelley) & with his job, lived in Minnesota, Ohio & eventually settled down in Milwaukee where they raised their children.
Bob spent most of his career working at GM/Delco Electronics. At one point, he worked on the gyroscope navigation systems for NASA, of which he was very proud.
Bob was an avid fisherman, Wisconsin sports enthusiast & lifelong member of St. Veronica Catholic Parish.
Visitation at the Funeral Home on Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 10:00am-12 Noon. Funeral Service at at 12 noon. Entombment and Military Honors to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wisconsin Stars and Stripes Honor Flight, Zilber Hospice, and St. Veronica's Food Pantry are appreciated. Robert's family would like to extend very special thanks to Dr. Brand, Aurora South Shore Hospital, and Aurora Zilber Hospice for their patient and loving care.
