Robert Emerson Lee
Passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 3, 2025. Age 92 years. Beloved husband and best friend for 67 years of Mary Ann (nee Kitzki). The best dad of Steven (Terese) Lee, Deborah (Rich) Manthei, Michael Lee (Morgan Hanek) and Lisa (Frank) Connelly. Adored grandpa of Brady Lee (Anna Lusiak); Stevie (Ryan) Mundigler; Amanda Lee, Aimee Lee, the late Michael Lee, Jordan Lee, Ashley Lee, Nevaeh Lee and Aaron Lee; Sophia and Ruby Connelly. Dear great-grandpa of Wyatt. Cherished brother of Shirley (the late Paul) White and the late Bernie (the late Virginia) Lee. Dear friend of Jim (the late Lorraine) Hamilton. Bob is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Bob was born and raised in Plainfield, WI. While he did attend Pulaski High School here in Milwaukee, Bob returned to Plainfield for his Senior year of high school and was elected Prom King prior to graduation of Tri-County High School. After graduation Bob enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and proudly served his country during the Korean War. After returning home from service Bob met the love of his life, Mary Ann. They married June 1, 1957. In 1956 he began his working career at Allen-Bradley Co. He worked there for 39 years (Eating an apple every day on his way home) and retired as a supervisor in 1995. In retirement Bob and Mary Ann traveled the country, spent time with his grandchildren, worked on cars and enjoyed watching Packer games. Bob always kept busy. He would tinker for hours fixing things and working on his various projects in the basement. Bob was a longtime Member of Our Father's Ev. Lutheran Church where he at one time served as a church elder. He also was a member of Greendale Post #416 American Legion.
They broke the mold when God made Bob. He will forever be remembered as a selfless, caring and God loving man. He treated Mary Ann like a queen, and was the kindest person, making time for every one he loved.
