Returned Home to his Heavenly Father on Monday, February 28, 2022 at the age of 83. Beloved father of Lisa (Martin) Carney and Tom (Joanne) Laufenberg. Proud grandfather of Vittoria Carney, John Carney, Joe Laufenberg, Ben Laufenberg and Bruce Laufenberg. Brother of Marilyn (Ted) Sudol and Joan Gosciniak-Pearson. Preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Irene Laufenberg, siblings Shirly Hass and James Laufenberg, and former wife Joan (nee Burg) Laufenberg.
Bob served his country as a member of the Air National Guard during the era of the conflict in Vietnam. Bob worked at Babcock and Wilcox, Concept Engineering, and Aladdin Engineering and retired as a machine designer after 40 years of service to several engineering firms. He was member of the Milwaukee Lionel Railroad Club where he designed and built a significant bridge for the club layout. Bob enjoyed fishing, and wood working where he would spend many hours in his shop and on the lake. Bob took great pride in the work he put into restoring his 1971 Oldsmobile Delta 88.
Visitation WEDNESDAY, March 9, 2022 at the Funeral Home from 10 AM-11:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 9303 S. Chicago Rd, Oak Creek at 12 Noon. Interment and Military Honors to follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.
