Memorial Gathering held at the funeral home on Monday, November 8th 4-7pm. Celebration of Life Service at 7pm. Private Interment at Natural Path Sanctuary, Verona, Wisconsin. In-lieu of flowers, memorials in Bob's memory to the Ronald McDonald House.
Growing up, Bob spent many times with his father who he deeply adored and brothers in boy scouts and traveling to their family cabin in Rock Dam, Wisconsin. He spoke often of his love for his mother's cooking and baking and the memories that surrounded this. Her Vienna torte was a particular favorite along with a plate of Christmas cookies. Bob graduated from Hamilton High School in 1977 and shortly after began his career in carpentry. In 1987, he became a loyal employee of Peter Schwabe Construction Incorporated. He had a work ethic unmatched and enjoyed his 34 years with the company, holding various positions along the way. Some of his closest friendships were formed through his workplace. A great joy in his life was raising his four children and, in the past five years, welcoming his three grandchildren. Anyone who knew Bob was sure to see the latest photos of them. Bob and his true love Macaire enjoyed a total of 34 years together and celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary this year. He treasured his time spent with Macaire and enjoyed just being together. Most importantly, they shared a deep love and mutual respect for one another. Bob enjoyed the sport of hunting with his family and friends and cooking with his children and grandchildren. He was an eclectic music enthusiast, instilling this same love of music into his children. Bob enjoyed being at a gathering but preferred to leave quietly, which is exactly how he left this life. He expressed a unique desire for a natural burial, where his body will become a part of nature and contribute to the ongoing cycle of life. He will be deeply missed by all.
